Here Are Some Highlights From Our ByLaws/Philosophy:

  • All residents, businesses, and non-profit organizations located on the Eastside of Wilton Manors (from the Railroad Tracks to the city limits at the three  bridges that connect our city to the mainland), are eligible to join. We also welcome affiliate members who reside or work anywhere in the City of Wilton Manors.
  • All our membership meetings and board meetings will be transparent and open. We will post minutes on our website. We will hold one annual meeting and 3 regular quarterly meetings. We may hold special meetings as needed.
  • Board Members will serve staggered 2-year terms. Board members are limited to serving three consecutive 2-year terms.
  • Only one person per household may serve on the Board of Directors at the same time.
  • We will recruit Area Representatives who will represent the different constituencies on the Eastside. These volunteers   may offer a great training ground for future Board recruitment and provide valuable feedback to the Board.
  • All our Membership Meetings will be held in person/hybrid format, and/or virtually so that members have the option to attend either in person or virtually. This will be especially important for our residents who travel or who go up North for the summer. By doing so, we will have maximum participation from our membership.
  • All residents and businesses of the Eastside will be eligible for membership. We will also have affiliate and honorary members.
  • We will strive to Build Bridges with the other Neighborhood Associations and with the City of Wilton Manors.
  • Our Members will drive the agenda of our Association. We will poll residents often to get a pulse on the issues important to our community.
  • Transparent, inclusive, and open elections shall be held for Board Members & Officers.
  • Our membership dues will be assessed per household, which means one vote per household when electing our board or other items requiring a formal vote. All members of the household are considered members in good standing of the Association.
